Dev is a FANTASTIC person. I also think of him as a friend and that is high praise for a tour guide. I would return to India just to hang with him and have him take me to more fun and fabulous places.
In 2023 we traveled through Northern India with our exceptional guide, Dev Singh Guleria. He is highly educated, his spoken English is easy to understand and, most importantly, he has an in-depth knowledge of the history of all the sites you will visit and a passion for making sure his travelers have an exceptional carefree and unforgettable immersive experience.
With Dev as your guide there will always be off the beaten path surprises. Ask him questions about any topic. He enjoys discussing controversial issues... the caste system, Hindu-Muslim relations, reincarnation, cremation etc. You will come away with a love for India's people who, no matter their station in life, will return your friendly smile with "namaste" and may even commandeer you for a photo.
Dev was always pleasant, thoughtful and full of warmth. We especially loved that he shared so much of his personal life with us. He's a great storyteller and has a wonderful sense of humor. Dev was a fabulous leader on my recent 16-day tour of North India. I lived in a village India for two years when I was younger, and this was my sixth trip to India. Still, I learned so much from Dev and the places we went. I’ve also been to 53 countries, and Dev was by far the best tour leader I have ever had. I’d give him ten stars if I could. His English is impeccable, he “gets” Americans even understanding all of our quirks without being judgmental. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed him and his easy going style. He patiently answered our 1000 questions about his country, customs and religion. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to small or large groups.
What a fabulous tour! Made extra special by our tour leader Dev Guleria, who was the best ever. Very personable and knowledgeable. I also had some special requests like arranging an art guide etc. He really made the trip very enjoyable . I am from India originally but learned a lot of history.
