Arrive in Leh and transfer to your hotel. Located at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters, Leh requires immediate rest upon arrival. The entire day is reserved for acclimatization to help the body adapt to reduced oxygen levels and prevent altitude-related discomfort.
You are advised to remain indoors, stay hydrated and avoid physical exertion. Light meals and proper rest are essential. This day plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the entire Ladakh journey, as rushing activities can lead to altitude sickness.
After a relaxed breakfast, begin local sightseeing around Leh. Start with a visit to Shanti Stupa, which offers panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains. The white-domed structure represents peace and provides an excellent introduction to Ladakh’s spiritual landscape.
